- The beginning of April 30, my appointment started with the receptionist who was very pleasant. Dr. Coale's nurse was helpful and informed. Dr. Coale listened to my concerns and went beyond my expectations of just checking my wrist. I also had another concern about my finger. He was very patient about that. He went above and beyond to take care of of that. I appreciate him and the Rebound staff very much. Hopefully l won't be back with a broken bone for years to come. - I've been a patient of Dr. Coale for the past 5 or so years. It began with trigger finger, he fixed that ;-) Then my thumbs were becoming arthritic, both, due to my age I suppose. ( 75 ). Cortisone injections for a few years kept the pain down to a tolerable level. And now my wrists are causing me a limited range of motion and some acute pain. Back to see Dr. Coale. We've developed a good doctor-patient relationship and I have complete trust in his ability to fix my issues thru some surgical procedure.

- Dr Coale answered my questions. When I told him I had trigger finger, he gave me a cortisone shot. I was hoping to schedule surgery on the DIP joint so my finger would be healed before I go to Cabo for Spring break! Now I will wait until April for surgery! My post op was a little disappointing. I wasn’t told I needed to go to PT to get my molded brace! My daughter has to drive me to appointments and it would have been nice to know in advance that I would need to go to PT!

- My 9 year old daughter broke her wrist and ended up having to have surgery. We first saw Dr Wong and he let us know this injury needed surgery. He was unavailable and referred us on to Dr Coale. - I had to have my thumb joint replaced with a tendon from my forearm. Dr. Coale and the staff at rebound have been great throughout this process. He does amazing work.I had to miss my post op appointment because of the snow, and he had called me at the end of his day just to check on me! No doctor ever does this, in my experience anyway. - Did my first hand surgery approximately 17 years ago. It was a simple procedure and there were no complications. During the pre-op visit, when he was going through the consent form, he got to the end and hesitated. He slowly explained to me that I could die, which is what you hear with new drug commercials on TV. I knew that, so it was not shocking. He then told me he had never killed anyone with hand surgery. Priceless. 17 years later, my other hand needed the same procedure. He read the medical record and realized we met 17 years ago. I told him I liked what he told me and so I was overwhelmingly compelled to come back. He said, "knock on wood, my record still stands". He finally found some would underneath a counter to knock on. The surgeries went well. The recoveries were a snap. I'd go back to see him in a heartbeat if I have anymore problems with my hands. My surgery was minor. The nurses at Rebound said he is an excellent surgeon and great to work with. For me, he's realistic and pretty easy to relate to. Priceless.

- Dr. Coale provided clear, concise information regarding my injury and viable treatment and/or repair options. Upon arrival, the staff at the surgical center assisted me with kind attention to what was needed: from me (in the nature of forms and patient instructions) and for me (providing comfortable, private bedspace for more forms and preparation for the OR). Dr. Coale came in with additional information, instructions and assurance regarding the procedure. Every staff and surgical team member was supportive, positive, and caring. The anesthesiologist provided further necessary information and instruction. All went very well and I awoke in recovery feeling groggy, of course, but very comfortable. More staff came to assist me to 'checkout; Dr. Coale came to review with me how surgery went, and sent me home with additional instructions and good wishes. I was very fortunate to have drawn Dr. Coale as my surgeon, and to have had all the compassionate assistance from everyone at Rebound, Legacy Emanuel Hospital & Medical Center - Salmon Creek, and Southwest Washington Surgical Center.

- Carpal Tunnel and ulnar Entrapment surgery were a complete success. Numbness and tingling in fingers and palm completely gone. Pain radiating down my arm is gone. Finally after 2 years of discomfort. Highly recommend Dr. Coale.

- Dr. Coale was personable and comforting when I found out he was going to give me some cortisone shots. I don't love needles. I barely felt what he did, and he was excellent at distracting me. I just realized a couple of days ago that my "trigger finger" is entirely gone! Woo hoo!

- Left ring finger was down about 30 degrees. Experienced palm pain when using hand tools. Since the procedure my finger is able to stand up with all the other fingers. Scare on palm or hand is undetectable. No pain at all at any point during or after the procedure. As one can probably tell I am very pleased with Dr. Coale and his staff. Still have the right hand to do in the future. It is not as bad as the left hand. DR. COALE has 100% of my confidence.

- I fractured my left wrist snowboarding and was told I needed surgery. Rebound got me in to see Dr Coale the day I called and I had surgery the day after (only 2 days after my injury)! Dr. Coale and the entire staff were warm, friendly and knowledgeable. I imagine it gets easy to discuss people's concerns when you see these kinds of things everyday but I never felt that way here; I felt respected and cared for every step of the way. From my initial consultation all the way through physical therapy, I truly feel like I was in the hands of experts who really cared and I couldn't have asked for a better experience.
