I have several friends who also had total knee replacements who agree he is the best. Dr R tells me he could not do what he does without his total team and I also agree. Everyone I spoke with today was also the best one could ask for. We were treated with such kindness….I almost look forward to our next visit….someday. A huge thank you to the whole team. And, the information they give you prior to your procedure was extremely helpful and ver well documented. This will make recovery much easier to deal with as everything is layer out for you with checklists and charts with daily times to abide to. - I had a total knee replacement with Dr Roberts in December 2023. I knew his reputation and experience, but he is also a really good communicator. I learned that he has a low complication rate as well. The video they had me watch to prepare for the surgery was essential in knowing what to expect and how to prepare for surgery. The staff at Legacy Salmon Creek was outstanding. I went home the day of the surgery and had a very easy recovery. I had my PT at Rebound in Lake Oswego -- also amazing. I didn't have any complications and I'm told my recovery was faster than normal. I'm just thankful for the excellent care. Would highly recommend Dr Roberts and his team.

- Dr. Roberts and staff are excellent. I doubt anyone is better for bi-lateral TKR. Minimal swelling and was walking without aids 9 days later,including driving an automatic Duramax pickup.l had 120 degree deflection in 19 days. Overall not much pain compared to back surgery. I'm now 10 weeks post op and feel about 90% healed.

- I have had 3 surgeries (osteotomy and bi-lateral knee replacements) performed by Dr. Roberts over an 18 year period, and can’t recommend him enough. I have had excellent results with all 3 surgeries, and I trust his expertise explicitly. He and his entire staff at Rebound are very professional and the whole process is streamlined. My first knee replacement was 12 years ago; that was the end of my pain. My most recent knee replacement was just 3 days ago, and although I am early in the recovery process, I am walking better than I have in over a year. Other than Tylenol, icing and other modalities he recommends, I only needed 1 pain pill (after PT) yesterday, just 2 days post surgery. The care I received at Legacy Salmon Creek was fantastic; very competent, compassionate, and well-trained staff. Besides my husband (who also has a knee replacement by Dr. Roberts) and myself, we have 3 other close friends who have had knee replacements performed by Dr. Roberts, and all of us are doing very well. It’s life changing.

- I've seen plenty of doctors over my 72 years of age, observing how their organizations deal with their patients. Rebound Orthopedics & Neurosurgery is the best medical organization by far and they excel at patient service. Dr. Donald Roberts, his medical team, the Rebound support staff, and the external people they have chosen to work with have been outstanding. I'm always on time for an appointment and the Rebound staff always meets with me shortly after I arrive. Before coming to Rebound, I had to wait an hour and a half to see the doctor at another orthopedic clinic. I appreciate an organization that respects my time. Everyone at Rebound has been very welcoming, professional and personable. Everything they commit to they deliver. I just received a right knee replacement five days ago and I am already walking with minimal pain. I owe this to Dr. Roberts incredible skills as a orthopedic surgeon as well as his professional staff who fully educated me regarding my responsibilities before and after the surgery. A guidebook on my knee replacement provided by Rebound and daily text messages sent to my phone, reminding me what I should be doing next, kept me focused on having a successful experience with this surgery. Dr. Roberts and his nursing staff were available to address any issues that might arise. I took all my recommended medication's on schedule, had two meetings so far with my physical therapist, and have performed all the exercises at home recommended by the PT and Rebound, religiously. Rebound has done their part, now it is up to me to do mine. Rebound has told me what to do and I am doing it. The results so far speak for themselves. If you need orthopedic surgery of any kind in the future, I highly recommend you consider the Rebound organization. You won't regret it.

- So back in 2003 or 2004 can't remember. I had my ACL repaired. Robert's is absolutely the best! So because of my active life style. i fear after 20 years of snowboarding, basketball, rock climbing, volleyball and many other sports I have torn something in my knee again 😢. Volleyball just a routine jump to black a ball and landed awkwardly and something buckled in me surgically repaired knee!? Ugh I'm so mad😪. There is no question on who I want to do my surgery again if needed. Praying I just dislocated it!?🙏. Robert's is absolutely the best there is. Recovery time, clean and low scare tissue. - This was my best experience with surgical care. My surgery was at 3:00 pm so my recovery was during the night. My primary RN that night was Christina. She was a lovely, genuinely caring person. She responded to my pain issues with quiet, caring confidence. Because of my pain level and the meds they tried, I did not sleep at all. Once they changed my RX I was able to complete my PT and go home before 10:30 am. I believe I had exceptional care at Salmon Creek Medical Center in all phases of my surgery.

- I have been the recipient of two total knee replacements (right and left) by Dr. Donald Roberts and his team at Rebound, and extended team at NW Surgical Specialists. My procedures were four years apart due to different rates of deterioration of my natural knees. Both procedures were a total success and have changed my life by restoring the complete functionality of both legs, which had become significantly disabled. I’m in my sixties and with my new knees I have cycled thousands of miles across the country and have done strenuous hiking. I did significant research prior to my first surgery, and because the procedure was so successful in every way, I did not consider going elsewhere for the second procedure. Dr. Roberts and his team are caring and courteous professionals who spent a lot of time answering my many questions before each procedure. I had no complications from either surgery, I was mobile immediately and pain was effectively and efficiently managed. The companion physical therapy was a total success. I can not recommend Dr. Roberts and his team highly enough.

- I feel quite fortunate to have Dr Roberts assigned to my case when my primary care doctor referred me to Rebound Orthopedics and Neurosurgery. He's an experienced physician who has adopted a style of interacting with patients that, decades ago, used to be the norm. That is to say, he spends a good deal of time in the examination room listening carefully, asking pertinent questions and explaining various aspects of physiology in layman's terms. He was very kind and I never felt rushed. More importantly, a level of trust was established on our first visit. For me that's a big deal.

- Best ortho around! I have been seeing Dr Roberts for years to manage osteoarthritis and meniscus issues. He's always ready to help manage the pain with something other than a knee replacement, though the writing is on the wall that I will need knee replacements. When it is time to do the knee replacements I would not consider anyone else: Dr Roberts has my trust and confidence. He explains the situation carefully, listens to me patiently, appropriately takes into account what I can do NOW and what I want to be capable of in the future. BTW, his PA Kyle is fantastic. Kyle has done several synvisc injections on my knees and does a superb job. As a practice, Rebound has a tremendous staff and processes. I have trusted them for 3 arthroscopies and a rotator cuff repair. When i batter up my body I trust them to put me back together.

- I could not be more pleased with the results of my full knee replacement. I’m 60-something and 3 months after surgery, I’m back to playing pickle ball and hiking mountain trails. My ability to be active (tennis, x-country skiing, hiking) was becoming progressively more hampered by a long ago college basketball knee injury. I currently have no knee pain and can jump or step down on that knee with confidence and without a brace I’ve had to wear for years. I’m continuing to increase strength and flexibility. I researched orthopedic clinics and surgeons carefully. I highly recommend Rebound and their well-designed program to get you back to previous activity (with additional PT support), not simply be mobile. My surgeon, Dr. Donald Roberts, gets my highest recommendation. His expertise and experience made my knee replacement very successful. I had less swelling than was expected and I was walking unaided 5 days after surgery. The preciseness of the surgical procedure is key to those outcomes. In addition, he listened carefully to my goals for the surgery and was clear and supportive throughout the process. - I would absolutely recommend Rebound to anyone. After dealing with another major medical clinic for three months, enduring a lot of pain, and spending a lot of money I went to see Dr. Roberts. He accurately diagnosed the problem with my knee (I could barely walk). He performed the surgery 6 days later and 11 days after that I was back at work walking fine! Don’t gamble with your health, go to Rebound.

I entered my exam not knowing the source of my knee pain and I had severely limited my activity. Dr. Roberts gave me a firm diagnosis and options for treatment. - Rebound is the best place if you are going to have a hip and me a shoulder or back any type of surgery I will not go any other place except for Rebound. Dr. Roberts is very very nice understanding and wants only the best for you. He tells it like it is and doesn't monkey around about anyting he's straightforward and comes right to the point. I'm sure all the other departments in rebound are just as good as dr. Roberts is I had surgery on May 21st I had a knee replacement and it was one of the best things I had ever done they had me up walking that same day and the pain that I used to have was no longer there and the pain that I did have wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. So if you need a knee replacement see doctor Roberts if you need a shoulder replacement I believe his name is dr. Ellis and he is also very good from what I understand just rebound is a wonderful wonderful place do you have any type of surgery won't go any place else, thank you rebound and for the classes that they teach you made a world of difference in my life God bless you all.

Before my knee replacement surgery, Dr. Roberts, his team and the staff at Legacy Salmon Creek had me and my family well prepared regarding what to expect before surgery, the day of and the weeks after. At every appointment, Dr. Roberts and Kyle, his PA, have taken their time with me. Regarding physical therapy post-surgery, I’ve done a fair amount of rehab over the years in several states and Rebound’s PTs are the best I’ve worked with. Long an avid walker, I'm now back on the trails. Two months after surgery, I walked Portland's 4T trail on an REI outing, managing to keep up with the group over the 4.5 miles of walking up and down hills. Dr. Roberts and his surgical skills have renewed my former quality of life.

- Dr. Roberts is amazing. He did a great job with listening to symptoms and making a diagnosis followed by surgery. On top of this we had a friendly relationship, discussing careers in medicine and schools. Upon rehab, he set me up to work with the same physical therapist as the trail blazers (because I am an athlete) and I was able to recover and get back to my sport very fast.

- Went in not knowing if I needed a knee replacement. Test showed that I had some fluid in the knee and an inflamed meniscus. He drained the knee and injected some cortisone. Pain disappeared. First good sleep in weeks

- After 10 years of suffering knee pain, injections, and lack of mobility, I finally gave in to bilateral knee replacement surgery. Best thing I ever did for myself. After a brief period of recovery and therapy, I went from having to use a walker to doing whatever I need or want to do without restraint or pain. Dr. Roberts, Kyle and staff are the greatest. - After 8 previous surgeries I had resolved myself to just living with the severe knee pain and 'bow-leggedness' of my right leg for the rest of my life. Then I went to Rebound and had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Roberts and his staff. When a total knee replacement was suggested, I was hesitant. I had heard unflattering stories. But, after several appointments with Dr. Roberts to go over the game plan of my surgery, I can say that it was the BEST decision. Leg is straight and knee is pain free.

- DR. ROBERTS is an amazing surgeon. I feel I am cured. No complications, no pain issues immediately after surgery. I had excellent range of motion same day of surgery. Assistant Kyle and Dr. Roberts are very attentive in the follow up after surgery.I am 89 years old and had a complete knee replacement. After 6 years of terrible pain, I could no longer continue walking and did not want to live in a chair. Be brave and continue a quality of life. Dr. Roberts will help you. His team is also great.

- Dr. Roberts was wonderful in every way: He very thoroughly discussed various forms of treatment available for my knees. We both decided that knee replacement surgery would definitely be needed but decided to wait because I had injections of hyaluronic acid into both knees and was starting to feel improvement. He suggested I carefully phase back into an exercise program in a very gradual way. I would highly recommend Dr. Roberts to family and friends.

- I will be celebrating 3 months with my new knee; Dr Roberts was my surgeon, and today played nine holes of golf, shared 3 buckets of balls on the driving range and practiced my chip shots with my husband. Walking on the golf course is great strength building for my knee with the soft grass and uneven terrain. Dr Roberts replaced my other knee four years ago and cannot thank he and his team enough for giving me back my power to enjoy walking and playing without pain. The Rebound team was awesome.

- I have had a 3/4 scope +maniscus tear fix with Dr. Roberts , and on Dec 23nd , 2016 a emergency knee drain on 4:30 PM after a full day of surgery for Dr. Roberts, Kyle , and the staff . It's amazing to me how great these Doctors are at surgery , pre-ventive surgery, rehab, and in checking thoroughly all possibilities before putting their patients through surgery . I would give them 6 Gold Stars to family and friends if it was available .

- May 19, 2016 Dr. Roberts replaced both my knees. I will be 74 yrs old on 12/11/2016 Prior to surgery I had very limited motion and considerable pain. After 4 months of rehab I went deer hunting for 4 days. I walked 6 miles the 1st day. No pain. Two miles were uphill. I can climb stairs and ladders easily now. In October I went elk hunting. Walked many miles comfortably. Got a 6x7 bull elk on the 4th day. I have a new lease on life. God Bless Dr. Roberts & Rebound

- Dr. Roberts is the guy you want for Knee replacements. He is the kind of guy who can walk and chew gum at the same time if you know what I mean. Extremely intelligent, has allot of knee replacement experience and has excellent mechanical dexterity. I understand that he is an avid Spring'r fisherman also. I have had absolutely no problems with my full knee replacement. Hiking, jogging absolutely no issues. I just wish he did shoulders too.
