We were seeking a orthopedic surgeon for our daughter, and were looking for someone with excellent bedside manner, and who had personal experience being a serious athlete, so they would be sensitive to the challenges and concerns facing our daughter, who plays 2 travel sports year-round. Dr. Rust having played soccer at Stanford certainly qualified him, as well as his instantly warm but professional demeanor. Having 2 teens himself, he is extremely relatable and understands what parents are going through. Dr. Rust explained every detail and answered all our questions through the entire process of diagnosing, assessing, operating and now the recovery and follow up period. - Not really a fan of visiting doctors, but wow... what a great experience. My wait time was minimal. I arrived a few minutes early and I think I was called back minutes after my scheduled appt time. From the start, a friendly exchange with the front desk, which sometimes can be the roughest part. But no, 10 out of 10 there. The MA called me back and took my vitals. She went to take my blood pressure and I asked if we could use the big cuff. She obliged and had to leave the room to get it. Usually I get, "the small one will work". I needed x-rays and the technician came and got me from my room and took me to the x-ray room. The exchange wasn't as social as the others, but that was okay. Dr Rust and his assistant/trainee arrive within minutes of my x-ray adventure return. Meeting with Dr Rust couldn't have gone any better. From greet to goodbye. The process was good and Dr Rust was very informative and the communication was great - listening and talking. He didn't pressure me for PT, which was nice. He showed the things I needed - demonstrated the stretches I need to do, showed me pictures on-line of night splint devices I needed to get and told me everything would be given in a handout afterward. The last tech came in and helped put in my lifts, showing me to only use half of the adhesive, so they can easily be replaces. Last of all - the checkout. Friendly exchange and gave me the paperwork I was promised. From walking in the door at Rebound to walking out the same door couldn't have gone any better...Seriously!

- I had a large cyst on the bottom of my foot, bunion and hammertoe. Being a nurse and single mom, it’s very important I’m on my feet. I was scared to go forward with the surgery after hearing horror stories! I went to a couple different doctors and podiatrist before making a decision to try Dr Rust. He was not in a rush to do the surgery and I had several appointments before making my decision. The whole experience was great, Dr Rust and his staff, the surgery center, and follow up. I’m on my way back to work next week. He is an awesome doctor, professional, honest, and 😊 nice! I would highly recommend him and Rebound for any foot surgery. I’m ready to have my other bunion🤗 in the future!

- I highly recommend Rebound Orthopedics. I experienced an injury with two fractures on my ankle and fibula bone. I found Rebound Orthopedics online, and after reviewing their reviews i gave them a call. I called them on a Monday and they scheduled me for the following day at their Vancouver location. From my first call to the multiple appointments i have had do far, all staff were very nice and efficient. You cam tell that their customer service is patient focused; starting from the front desk gals, to the xray tech, nurses and of course, both of the providers i saw, Cas Singletonand (PA) & Luke Rust (MD). I would highly recommend them, they definitely make you feel comfortable from day 1, they also take their time to answer questions.

- I saw Dr. Rust yesterday for a repeat ankle injury. I felt like his approach was well organized and thorough. He took in all of my thoughts and considerations into account and understood what my goals and objectives were. I really liked talking with Dr. Rust and felt very confident with him. He also identified a bone spur on my ankle which is causing me pain and limited mobility in my ankle, something that a previous doctor had missed. - Amazing work. I'm 77 years old. 10 weeks ago I had surgery on my left ankle and now this is my first day out of my boot and wearing a shoe. Dr Rust cleaned up an old injury, fused it, and screwed it all together. I have very little swelling and I have great movement up and down. So I am now walking and not limping anymore. No pain. Remember everyone has different pain levels, and healing. I would totally recommend Dr Rust for any of your foot or ankle problems. Always listen to your Dr. It worked for me in this case. Thanks Doc. Two to three months from now, I will be back to coaching soccer

- My experiences with Dr. Rust have been great. I came to him for a second opinion after experiencing an injury and misdiagnosis with another provider. He went over my MRI results with me, gave me answers and a plan for treatment that finally gave me some relief after months of no improvement. He listened to my concerns and answered all the questions I had about my problem. I’ve had to get cortisone shots into my foot a few times now, and he takes great care to make it as pain free as possible. Highly recommend.

Called to make an appt on Monday got in on Wednesday and surgery the next Monday. WAY faster than I was expecting this process to go. Getting checked in, everyone very kind positive and helpful. When Dr Rust came in prior to surgery, he took his time answering all the questions I had. When he called my wife after the surgery she was shocked on how much time and how thorough he was with explaining how the procedure went. After two surgeries over three days I was finally awake to talk to Dr Rust. He said “your leg is healing nicely. It looks like you’ll be able to keep it”. After the initial shock was gone we talked about about all of the damage to my leg and ankle. My doctors, nurses and and physiotherapists did so much work. I have both legs and can walk. - I have had the pleasure of having Dr. Rust as my surgeon. I am a brittle diabetic who suffered from a pair of ulcers for upwards of 5 years before I came under his care. When I say I have been to a lot of doctors I mean lit feels like all the doctors out there. - I was very careful in selecting who I wanted to perform my bunion surgery and after reading Doctor Rust's portfolio on Rebound's web site I knew that's who I wanted to perform my procedure. He made me feel comfortable around him and carefully explained in detail what the procedure would entail never questioned me why do you want to do this. I would highly recommend him to any one. He's the best Awesome Thank you for fixing my foot. I'm very happy with how it turned out. Doctor Rus is an amazing surgeon he made my foot better than what it was. I had a huge bunion that I wanted removed so when I wear shoes they look good. I don't regret for a minute having it done its' been 3 months since he did the surgery now. I am back to wearing my right shoe and walking which feels really nice and can begin driving once again which will seem strange after 3 months of not doing that. He thoroughly explained the procedure to me and what I would be going through. I owe it to him for putting up with me and making my foot better. - I first saw Dr. Rust three years ago for a partial Achilles tear. He took great care of me then so of course I chose to see him when I hurt my ankle. In between the two injuries, my husband had hand surgery by another Rebound doctor and while waiting for him to be finished, Dr. Rust came out from surgery on another patient, saw me, and asked me how I was doing! Great bedside manner, goes through all your imaging with you, plans the next diagnostic steps, and lets you know possible treatment plans depending on what the next tests show. I like being able to do my own research and plan ahead if I’m going to need help during recovery. I highly recommend Dr. Rust!

- I went to Dr. Rust for a second opinion on a foot surgery recommended by another doctor. He took the time to look at my x-rays and my feet, and to explain what he saw and what my options were. He did not jump to surgery, but answered my questions about what the progression might be if I did not opt for surgery at this point. He was pleasant and informative and I would highly recommend him. I believe that had I been ready for surgery, he would have been exceptional, as well.
